Formed nearly 10 years ago while in high school the band now known as Murals have traveled a long road to their debut Full Length LP. After some dips and turns the three core members have landed back in their home town of Louisville, KY. They write record and live in a house on a hill in the not so swank part of town - the type of place that acid trips and all day jam sessions go hand in hand. The results are an ever present body of slow churning psychedelic folk that wouldn't be so surprising in your hippie dad's record collection or buried deep in the crates of your headiest record store.

Turnip King is a four piece originally hailing from Sea Cliff, New York. While still in High School Fire Talk released the band's debut EP "Moon Landing?" Shortly after the four founding members Lucia Arias, Cal Fish, Nick Kivien and Christian Billard departed to pursue various "life" journeys. Cal & Christian attend BARD a liberal arts school a few hours north of New York City. Lucia stayed in the city and Nick left the group to form Sunflower Bean another on the up young band signed to Fat Possum Records. "Laika", Turnip King's debut full length was written in between class sessions and fleshed out in a fairly brisk few recording sessions at Water Music Hoboken & Stormy's Cabin in Up State New York by Ernie Indradat . Now joined on bass by Ken Winfield Turnip King is poised to break. Think Matador era Helium goes back to art school with the internet.

Aa (“Big A little a”), one of the quintessential house bands of Brooklyn’s mid-aughts loft party/DIY scene, has returned with their new full-length, ZebrAa. The album is both their rawest and most accessible to date, combining a live-tracked barrage of triple-drummer beats and polyrhythms with a cacophony of digital psychedelia and vocal hooks. Like DIY underground contemporaries such as Dan Deacon and Black Dice, this latest incarnation of Aa builds on a track record of restless experimentation within a sound that is unmistakably their own. ZebrAa will be released in November 2016 and is the group’s first LP for Fire Talk.
ZebrAa was written and recorded with a lineup of drummers that spans the band’s decade-long history. Mike Colin, a percussionist and psychiatrist, played in the band’s earliest incarnations from 2002 to 2005 and on its first LP, 2007’s gAame; Hank Shteamer, a writer for publications including Rolling Stone and Pitchfork as well as a drummer and vocalist in his band STATS, first performed with Aa from 2005 to 2006 and appeared on 2014’s LP voyAager; and Julian Bennett-Holmes, a composer of contemporary classical music, has played in Aa since 2013, in addition to being a member of Fiasco and Zulus . The fresh rhythmic chemistry of this trio – recorded live together at The Civil Defense studios in Brooklyn – is paired with vibrant electronic sounds and vocals courtesy of John Atkinson and Aron Wahl, the constants in the group throughout all of their full-length releases.

Debut LP from Santa Ana, CA based Media Jeweler. "$99 R/T Hawaii” aims to capture the relentless restlessness of being alive on this increasingly weird and overstimulating planet. It was recorded and mixed in a casual and really quite nice three-day session during the dawn of spring at Machines with Magnets by Seth Manchester and Keith Souza (Battles, Lightning Bolt, etc.). It was mastered a week later by XOQ (Liars, Factory Floor, Martin Gore, etc.).

Somewhere in a warehouse in the shadow of the once Industrial giant Chicago Illinois mellow drums shape the pattern of a psychedelic post whatever dream. A distorted guitar lick sits right in line with a dark beatufiul crooning, it's almost winter and the streets are about to be frozen for months. A certain kind of longing reaches out from places like these and that band; Earring, can do nothing but call this place home. Mixing elements of Post Punk, Sludge and psych into a tapestry of soft and beautifully heavy rock tracks the band's debut Fire Talk album "Tunn Star" will arrive just in time for the Spring thaw.

Scully came together as a meeting of minds from the ashes of Oakland California based sunshine rippers The Splinters. As time passed The Splinters disbanded. Fast forwarding a few years later, three of the four members, Caroline Partamian (guitar/vocals), Courtney Gray (guitar/vocals) and Lauren Stern (bass/vocals) reunited in Brooklyn to play together for the first time since 2011.
The "No Sense" EP recorded by NYC engineer Ben Greenberg & mastered by APTBS & Death by Audio founder Oliver Ackermann sees the band expanding on that California sunshine vibe. Adding the grit & summer trash stench of a New York City Summer, sharpening up and infused with a more potent swagger. Although the band's girl-group sensibilities cannot be denied, Scully's music balances heaviness and pop with nods to Brian Jonestown era Psych, early Punk and '90s grunge. To date, the group has two releases under their belt — a limited-edition split cassette (with fellow Brooklynites Las Rosas) and a 7" split with La Luz on Famous Class’s LAMC imprint.
The "No Sense" EP is the band's Fire Talk debut & is out September 2016 on 7" Vinyl & Digitally. In conjunction, Fire Talk will make available digitally several Splinters releases previously only available on limited run physical formats. Scully EP on cassette is available via Burger Records. An additional single will be available on a Greenway Records 7” in October. The collection of these releases signifies the band’s package of songs presented to the world in 2016.
