Dorothy Present New Single, “I want to be out on the sea" !
Dorothy — the UK supergroup of Jude Woodhead (aka Saint Jude), Marco Pini (of GG Skips, Sorry, RIP Magic), and Francesca Brierley (aka heka) — will release their debut EP, Sea Songs, on December 12th via Fire Talk Records’ Angel Tapes imprint, and today share its new single, “I want to be out on the sea.” Beginning with a siren-like drone, “I want to be out on the sea” wades through glitchy currents, with Brierley’s layered vocals cutting through the fog. Her hypnotic melodies wash over the track, offering a lush springboard for Pini’s poetic word-building.
“I want to be out on the sea” directly builds off the previously-shared “50s song,” Dorothy’s debut single released earlier this fall to praise from DIY, NME, The Line of Best Fit, and more.
