Immaterialize Release New Single "Will You Stay With Me" via Angel Tapes
Immaterialize — the Chicago duo of Lipsticism (aka Alana Schachtel) and DJ Immaterial (aka Erik Fure) — present their new single, “Will You Stay With Me,” via Fire Talk Records’ emerging artists imprint, Angel Tapes. “Will You Stay With Me” is tender and tense, channeling the push and pull of new love through mercurial production. “The memory is bleak // will you stay with me?” Schachtel sings through modulated vocals atop shimmers of wandering finger-plucked guitar. Presented alongside an evocative lyric video helmed by the band, “Will You Stay With Me” was recorded by Immaterialize and features longtime friend and collaborator Fire-Toolz on mastering duties.
“Will You Stay With Me” marks the second entry in Immaterialize’s string of one-off singles this year, following the haunting “It’s A Vision,” which was released to praise from The Line of Best Fit, Still Listening, and more.
