ira glass Release New Single | EP Out Friday!

ira glass is “Chicago’s best new posthardcore band” (Chicago Reader). This Friday, the inscrutable quartet of Lise Ivanova (vocals/guitar), Landon Kerouc (drums), Jill Roth (saxophone), and Kaleb Wallace (bass) will release their sophomore EP, joy is no knocking nation, via Angel Tapes / Fire Talk. Today, ira glass present its final advance single and accompanying video, “that’s it/that? that’s all you can say?” EP closer “that's it…" is ira glass at their most guttural, with Ivanova's screams more urgent than ever: "his precious girl // goes nowhere // tied down in the lot." Kerouac's percussion leaps off of his set, with hand claps guiding kinetic kit rhythms & strokes of saxophone toward an industrial end.

“that’s it/ that? that’s all you can say?” follows ira glass’ indomitable string of singles, which collected praise from Stereogum, Paste, So Young Magazine, The Line of Best Fit and more. ira glass will celebrate the EP’s release with a free EP release show at The Empty Bottle on Monday, November 18th.
