Just Penelope Release New Single/Video, "Feel So," via Angel Tapes
Just Penelope is the Bloomington, Indiana-based trio of Ella Curiel (vocals/guitar), Ethan Cantrell (drums/vocals), and Drew Goforth (bass). Today, Just Penelope unveil their new single/video, “Feel So,” via Fire Talk Records’ emerging artists imprint Angel Tapes (Starcharm, shower curtain, Retail Drugs). Following a trail of singles released throughout 2025, “Feel So” marks the final entry in Just Penelope’s first batch of recordings. “Feel So” distills Just Penelope’s soon-to-be signature vein of cathartic country-tinged alt-rock. “What could I do?,” vocalist Ethan Cantrell sings, entwining delicate vocals with bandmate Ella Cantrell’s lush alto. “I tried, I lied // But I want you, want you to know.”
Of the track, Just Penelope add: “‘Feel So’ was our first step as Just Penelope — before basement rehearsals, bar shows — before there was a band. The song recognizes the pitfalls of choosing pain over being alone. We didn’t expect much out of it; this was the product of wanting to make music with people we love.”
