lots of hands Release New Single/Video, "anything for now" Amid EU/UK Tour

Today, lots of hands — the Newcastle-upon-Tyne duo of Billy Woodhouse and Elliot Dryden — unveil their new single/visualizer, “anything for now.” Co-produced by Mike O’Malley (caroline, My New Band Believe), “anything for now” marks lots of hands’ first time welcoming an outside engineer into their recording process. Beginning as a bedroom recording project of Woodhouse and Dryden, lots of hands have experienced a rapid ascent over the past 18 months. Amidst relentless waves of virality for their 2020 debut mistake, lots of hands embarked on 3 US tours alongside Hudson Freeman, Lala Lala, and Deadharrie, all while promoting their “touching coming-of-age” (Hearing Things) 2024 label debut into a pretty room.

“anything for now” presents a polished lots of hands, propelled by a studio sheen and anchored by their signature command of “ineffable emotion” (Paste). Alongside digital flourishes courtesy of Woodhouse, lots of hands’ resident in-house producer, Mike O’Malley — who contributed both production and cathartic layers of guitar feedback — brings a newfound level of clarity. “This song has been through about 4 stages,” Woodhouse says of “anything for now,” continuing: “It started as 3 different tracks me and Elliot worked on individually, before combining them. We recorded this version down in London next to the best pastry shop we’ve ever been to. Such a luxury to have this experience, and meet Mike from caroline who really took this song to a different level.”
