Today, lots of hands present their new single, “masquerade,” from their forthcoming Fire Talk debut, into a pretty room, out January 17th, and announce 2025 headlining UK tour dates in support of the record. With performances in the duo’s current base of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, plus stops in London and Leeds, lots of hands’ newly announced shows will see them debut a full-band iteration of into a pretty room, whose advance singles received praise from Pitchfork, BBC 6, No Expectations and more. into a pretty room arrives after years of remote collaboration between the core duo of Billy Woodhouse and Elliot Dryden, and marks lots of hands’ first truly collaborative record. New single “masquerade” is at once jaded and joyful. “masquerade” sees Dryden return to the pen, interrogating political theater through electronic-speckled indie folk. “They’re always droning bullshit,” Dryden sings through layers of filtered vocals and spacious instrumentation. “Do you see through?”
