New York City’s Shower Curtain, the four-piece band led by Brazilian-American artist Victoria Winter, are excited to finally share their debut album, words from a wishing well, out now via Angel Tapes/Fire Talk Records. A completely dialed-in record of experiences between Brazil and New York, the band’s debut boasts unexpected but relatable hooks, spaciously arranged distortion creeping beneath Winter’s airy vocals and their ability to capture the past in a way that feels refreshingly modern. To celebrate the release of their long-awaited debut, the hilariously anxiety-inducing official music video for “bedbugs” is out now.
"It feels so exciting to debut to the rest of the world what we have been working on for almost three years at this point,” bandleader Victoria Winter says. “I have learned to lean on my bandmates to create this beautiful project, and it tells the story of learning to collaborate and work with each other.
