shower curtain Announce 'words from a wishing well (Deluxe Edition), out 5/23, & Share Computerwife Remix
shower curtain — the New York City band fronted by Brazilian-American artist Victoria Winter — are “the next to burst out of the scene” (NOTION). Last year, the quartet released their debut album, words from a wishing well via Fire Talk Records imprint Angel Tapes, earning praise from Pitchfork, NPR Music & more. Today, shower curtain returns to announce words from a wishing well (Deluxe Edition), out May 23rd, and share their new single/video, “starpower - Computerwife Remix.” The deluxe edition of words from a wishing well taps into shower curtain’s community of rising NYC artists to reimagine a handful of album standouts, beginning with today’s Computerwife rework and including additional remixes from Retail Drugs, fantasy of a broken heart, Crate and more.
The remix precedes shower curtain’s forthcoming tour, which includes performances at SXSW, Treefort Music Festival, and a West Coast run of dates supporting Dummy. To celebrate the release of words from a wishing well (Deluxe Edition), shower curtain will perform a hometown headlining show at Nightclub 101 on Saturday, May 24th alongside Angel Tapes labelmates Jawdropped, fellow New Yorkers Bedridden, plus DJ sets from fantasy of a broken heart and Computerwife. A full list of tour dates are below, and tickets are on sale now.
