shower curtain Share Retail Drugs Remix
shower curtain — the NYC quartet led by Brazilian-American artist Victoria Winter (guitar/vocals), alongside Ethan Williams (guitar), Sean Terrell (drums), and Cody Hudgins (bass) — have “hit the ground running” (Under The Radar). Last month, shower curtain announced words from a wishing well (Deluxe Edition), an expanded rework of their “sharp-edged epic” (FLOOD) debut album, out May 25th via Angel Tapes / Fire Talk. words from a wishing well (Deluxe Edition) taps into shower curtain’s community of rising independent artists — fantasy of a broken heart, Crate, LAILA , and more — to reimagine a handful of album standouts. Amidst their current and ongoing tour supporting DIY legends Dummy, shower curtain today presents their new single/video, “you’re like me - Retail Drugs Remix.”
“you’re like me - Retail Drugs Remix” injects a healthy dose of hyperpop into shower curtain's “spin on ’90s-indebted alt-rock” (UPROXX). The resulting remix highlights the breadth of each artist's palette, creating a charged reimagination that leaps from rock to blown-out electronics. The accompanying music video chops and screws that of “you’re like me,” whose original video was helmed by Sex Week and is here reworked by Winter.
Of the remix, Winter adds: “I was really excited to have Retail Drugs remix “you’re like me”. I love his latest record i love you so ! and am really happy with how the remix turned out. For the video, a simple rework was all it needed since the original video and remix worked so well together”
