Strange Ranger Share "Pass Me By" (Harrison Patrick Smith Remix)

Today, Strange Ranger share a glitched out remix of No Light in Heaven select "Pass Me By" by Harrison Patrick Smith (The Dare, Turtlenecked), the former which garnered praise from the likes of PAPER, Uproxx, Brooklyn Vegan & more. The remix channels downcast euphoria alongside a buoyant synth-heavy beat, transforming the original track into a more effervescent light, expertly traversing the spaces between the rave and Smith’s background in crafting heartfelt indie rock. It’s another reframing of the mixtape’s adventurous, genre-fluid nature, taking them to new heights while retaining the effervescent sentiment & spirited evolution that has made them one of the most exciting new bands of the 2010s.

Smith elaborates: “Inspired by my love of the Drive (2011) soundtrack and the plasticine pop of The Human League—I took the 1980s elements of Pass Me By and cranked them up to 11.”

Strange Ranger adds: "Been receiving imessages w random remixes from Harrison for years now but have never had the honor of our very own remix. Feeling blessed on this beautiful morning."
