bbreathrr is the side-project of Young Prism’s Giovanni Betteo and Stefanie Hodapp. Lush and saccharine, “candytrip” is a dreampop anthem, with woozy guitars that swagger and saunter alongside an ever-sweet melody. “Promise till we die,” Hodapp sings, floating atop layers of filtered reverb, “until you meet me down by the fire.” The instrumentation is bright, glittering, and lands somewhere between trip-pop and fuzzed-out indie rock.
